abstract = "This paper has as main objective the use of remote sensing tools
to conduct an evaluation of temporal misuses in conservation areas
and indigenous lands in Rond{\^o}nia state, Brazil, which are
under the protection of the law no. 9985 of July 18, 2000; and the
law no. ° 6001, of December 19, 1973, from the years 2008 and
2010. The state currently has 42 conservation areas, being 37
indicated to sustainable use and 12 of full protection areas,
which has as main objective the maintenance of biological
diversity of the region. The Terraclass project, which aims to
qualify, through supervised classification, deforestation areas,
also known as yellow mask, becomes helpful to monitor and evaluate
the integrity of these protected areas, which are under constant
pressure due to the growth of pasture areas, becoming a target for
users who tend to violate the protectionist laws. With the data
compilation and table creation, was found a conversion of native
forest into clean pasture, degraded pasture and regeneration with
pasture, along with agriculture areas, indicating a material loss
with biological potential in the region, also presents the
formation of new towns and villages. Thus, this paper presents the
Terraclass project material as an alternative that can be used as
base for public policies creation, not only in Rond{\^o}nia
state, but in all states inside the Legal Amazon.",
